 Iraq Peace Petition
Blog submitted by uinen on Fri 17 Dec 2004 - 20:49 h
The American Friends Service Committee has created an Iraq Peace Petition, urging Pres. Bush to end the U.S. Occupation of Iraq. It is to be delivered to Mr. Bush on Jan. 21, the day after he is innaugurated for his second term.

The more people sign the petition, the stronger will be the pressure on Mr. Bush to heed the will of the people and withdraw from Iraq. I have signed. I urge everyone who reads this to sign the petition and to spread the word about it.

Cry of the Poor
"How can it be that even today there are still people dying of hunger? Condemned to illiteracy? Lacking the most basic medical care? Without a roof over their heads? . . .

"Christians must learn to make their act of faith in Christ by discerning His voice in the cry for help that rises from this world of poverty."
-- Pope John Paul II
