 Abortion Common Ground Flashback
Blog submitted by hugetim on Thu 16 Dec 2004 - 12:57 h
Read this thought-provoking article by Jay Ware about the urgent need and great potential for common ground between "pro-life" and "pro-choice" folks: Common Ground

I think you'll be amazed that more people aren't aware of these important ideas.

Same-sex Marriage
Comment added by lmilford on Mon 27 Dec 2004 - 12:04 h
Although the original post was concerned with pro-life and pro-choice, somehow same-sex marriage was the subject of the reply? Anyhow, my question about same-sex marriage is why it belongs in the public discourse of Catholics! I, as well as most Catholics, believe it is wrong. Why is it so important to outlaw it, then? I don't agree with it, but it doesn't affect my daily life at all! I believe that this is a subject that should be left up for God to judge! If God believes that same-sex marriage is wrong, then He can punish these people as He sees fit... what is the rush to judge others?

SameSex-Marriage

Same sex marriage violates Natural Law and Biblical Revelation.
(Romans1:26-28)The Apostle Paul gives definitive affirmation of woman and men leaving the natural use what is against nature. [truncated by editor for offensive comments deriving from theological confusion.]

Cry of the Poor
"How can it be that even today there are still people dying of hunger? Condemned to illiteracy? Lacking the most basic medical care? Without a roof over their heads? . . .

"Christians must learn to make their act of faith in Christ by discerning His voice in the cry for help that rises from this world of poverty."
