Cry of the Poor
"How can it be that even today there are still people dying of hunger? Condemned to illiteracy? Lacking the most basic medical care? Without a roof over their heads? . . .

"Christians must learn to make their act of faith in Christ by discerning His voice in the cry for help that rises from this world of poverty."
-- Pope John Paul II
Novo Millennio Ineunte, no. 50

It said that Sadam had fooled with everyone
Comment added by Unregistered on Fri 8 Oct 2004 - 19:30 h
It said that there were no weapons of mass destruction but that Sadam was playing games with his own people. He made his own staff think that he had them. He played games with everyone. He also was making sure that those that supported him got lots of money for it too. He was giving huge in the 100 billion dollar figure to France, Russia and China. Do you realize how that undermined our efforts in Iraq? Now because they were so buddy buddy with Sadam, perhaps they knew he didn't have the weapons either, perhaps they were just playing games too, so they could save their butts. This opens up a pandora's box of quesitons that I think makes the President's decision to go into Iraq an even better one.

Theodore Roosevelt

"To announce that there should be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American people."
