Catholics for Bush has been visited lately by a disrespectful troll posting some pretty vulgar commentary. Commentary like that would be deleted from this site as soon as I notice it! The troll -- I'm assuming it's the same person that is contributing all the disrespectful commentary -- claims to be a very fequent church-goer, albeit for the wrong reason. Hopefully some of that religion rubs off on him while he's there.
I personally find a lot of material in that blog defies credible reason. I do not, however, believe those who run that blog are being deliberately dishonest or misleading (even though I find them fun -- and easy -- to pick on). After all, they are -- I assume -- average people like you and me just lapping up the dishonest and misleading tidbits Bush and right-wing media throw their way. They have a civic right and duty to voice their opinions and to contribute substantially to the electoral conversation; and I applaud them for their sincere efforts.
If that troll visits Catholics for Democracy at all, I would urge you strongly to have a little more -- no, a lot more -- respect for the community at Catholics for Bush. They may be wrong, but they're sincerely wrong. They deserve more respect from you than that.
"To announce that there should be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American people."
