 Vote for the Funniest Ad!
Story submitted by hugetim on Thu 8 Jan 2004 - 23:47 h
Dear friend,

Bush in 30 Seconds, an online contest for 30-second ads that tell the truth about George Bush's policies, is asking folks to vote for the best ad in three categories. You can go to the site right now and choose the funniest ad, best animated ad, and best youth market ad. I just finished voting, and it was a blast (this is a canned message, but that part's true!!).

You can view the ads and vote at:

bushin30seconds.org/people/

The contest is sponsored by MoveOn.org Voter Fund, an online grassroots organization that is running ads to expose the gap between what President Bush says and what he does. The winners will be announced at an awards show with Michael Stipe, Margaret Cho, Moby, Janeane Garofalo, Eddie Vedder, and other celebrities in New York
next Monday, so please check out the site soon - we only have this weekend to vote.

Thanks!

Cry of the Poor
"How can it be that even today there are still people dying of hunger? Condemned to illiteracy? Lacking the most basic medical care? Without a roof over their heads? . . .

"Christians must learn to make their act of faith in Christ by discerning His voice in the cry for help that rises from this world of poverty."
-- Pope John Paul II
