John Kerry's Integrity
Comment added by Unregistered on Fri 30 Jan 2004 - 10:44 h
Seems that back in April of 1971, John Kerry joined in protest against the war and threw his hard-earned medals over the fence and at the Nixon Whitehouse.

Only, it turns out they weren't his medals. Okay, so not that big of deal... except he let people continue to believe the thrown medals were his until 1984, when the Wall Street Journal reported otherwise.

A 13 year deception. Rove & co. will surely take the luster off Kerry if he makes it through the nominating process without this being played out. Character?.... Integrity anyone?

This really needs to be publicly discussed now. Please do your part.

Dean is the only...

...major candidate who had the vision and courage to stand up to Bush (on Iraq, tax cuts for the wealthy, education, health care...) when it mattered, not just now that it is politically convenient. His vision for a new American community and a renewed role for the U.S. as a moral leader in the world, respected by the world, will bring this country to greatness once again. For details, click here.

Or, feel free to share your thoughts on Dean or tell this group about another Democratic candidate. No one else has tried to make a case for a different candidate yet, and for good reason, but we want to hear from you, for real.

Carol Moseley-Braun

She was one of the few candidates to support full marriage rights for gay couples, and she's the only candidate who would have come to the presidency with knowledge and experience that can only be gained being a women and black in the US (i.e. things that people like Bush and many others just never have had to think about). It's a shame that she's not in the race anymore. After that, I would probably rank the candidates in the following order:

Sharpton
Kucinich
Dean
Kerry
Gephardt
Edwards
Liebermann

I don't know where Clark fits in, because I really don't like this whole "I just became a Democrat a few months ago" thing. That's disturbing.
