Look at the five leading Presidential Candidates. Democratic and Republican. Hillary Clinton--Barak Obama-John Edwards-Dem. Rudy Giuliani--John McCain Rep.
Their political agenda violates Catholic moral and social teaching which is based on Biblical Principles, Christian Virtues and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Biblical Principles, the Catechism and Natural Law condemns and forbids Abortion--Euthanasia, and Homosexual Marriage.
Abortion "the culture of death is murder" Euthanasia -- killing a person mercifully for mankinds own agenda and initiative -- is murder.
The Bible calls Same Sex -- or Homosexual Marriage "The Reprobate Mind" -- "The Reprobate Sense" In both Catholic and Protestant Bibles. Look at the King James Bible and Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible calls these acts of depravity, and perversity absolute iniquity and evil. Acts of perversion which violates Natural Law. 'Romans 1:26-28' K.J.V. states,
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections; for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature; and likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the women, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of the error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.
Paragraph 2357--Catechism of the Catholic Church condemns homosexual actions. The Catechism calls same sex actions, acts of grave depravity, acts which are intrinsically evil.
Look at 'Isaiah 5:20' Woe to those who call evil good and good evil. This is evident in American society and culture today. A Woe is a condemnation from God in a forcible language, threats of impending judgment or reprehensions for hypocritical actions.
Let us also never forget that embryonic stem cell research, and human-cloning are intrinsically evil, and diabolical actions. Please read 'Romans 1: 18-32." Read any Biblical Translation. Natural Law is the nature of God infused in Man's heart and established by reason.
My objective is to show forth the diabolical actions, the actions of satan in the agenda of American politicians. Look closely at the voting record of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi! Look at the reprobate mind of this Catholic women. This is not condemnation or judgment against Nancy Pelosi, this is a review of her voting record and what she stands for.
The Lord Jesus Christ states, 'Matt. 7:15': Beware of false propherts who come in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Also, Jesus states, A tree is known by their fruit! Please remember God does not hate sinners, he hates the sin.
'Genesis 1:27-28' -- 'Genesis 5: 1-2' gives definitive affirmation that man is made in the image and likeness of God and God blessed mankind, both man and woman. God loves homosexuals, but hates homosexual acts.
As Catholics let us support those who support Biblical Principles and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Comments
Presidential choice.
Economic justice is an absolute necessity in my political view. This is why I overwhelmingly supported U.S. Sen. Bob Casey over former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum.
Former U. S. Sen. Santorum talked family values, but in his political agenda supported unbridled exploitative capitalism. Rick supported the greedy, and not the needy. Hypocrisy is falsehood covered in political expediency. One cannot talk Family Values and not Value Families. Life issues which I mentioned in my blog are of extreme importance in my political ideology. I make an attempt to follow the teachings of Christ through the Church of Christ, the Catholic Church. The teachings of the Church from Christ are not for private interpretation, a pick and choose individualistic ideology, but are mandated through a hierarchical Magisterium. As a registered Democrat, I am ashamed of Catholic politicians like U.S. Senators Ted Kennedy, Joe Biden, Barbara Mikulski, Patrick Leahy and House Leader Nancy Pelosi absolutely violating Catholic moral teaching. Also, put Rudy Guiliani in this boat. I like U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback a former Evangelical Protestant who turned Catholic and turned away from conservative extremism on many issues such as the Iraq War, and capital punishment. Hopefully he will come to fruition on economic issues. As a former over the road tractor trailer driver, dockworker, and correctional officer I have struggled through life to raise a family. After working over 43 years and paying over half of my pension for health benefits, and knowing 45 to 50 million working Americans do not have medical coverage in the richest country in the world, the economic system in America is getting diabolical. Yes, the disparity between the rich and the poor is incredible. Unjust and unbelievable. Human dignity must be respected, one must live in the dignity of God. A just wage is the legitimate fruit of work. I'm not a Democrat or Republican in ideolgy, I'm a Catholic.
active participation
Your lament about the lack of candidates who will meet the test of Catholic voters wholistically is shared, I think, by every Catholic. We cannot just scream laments, though; lest we give in to despair -- and lead others to the same.
As Catholics who actively participate in the political process, our task is to study the state of our country and to seek out those pursuing public office most likely to resolve contradictions to the common good. Simultaneous to that, of course, we have the task of arguing for those things which promote the common good.
I cannot impose my own morality on other people; though I can encourage others to consider the value of my morality, and that of my Church. In terms of my participation in the political process, I must ask how I, through the political process, contribute to injustice; and how I can participate in promoting justice.
We need to consider, though, that the way we present both our arguments for morality and justice and our case for what candidates will best serve the common good will influence how others receive our arguments every bit as much as, if not more than, the content of our arguments themselves.
Do you have any idea who you think would make a good President? Why do you support him (or, this year, her)?
