Catholics for Bush's disrespectful commenter
Comment added by catholicsforbush on Thu 26 Aug 2004 - 04:39 h
Thanks for the comment. Sorry you do not like our disrespectful commenter. We do not mind him all that much. We allow him/her for a few reasons. I cannot monitor the blog comments 24/7 and delete them in a timely manner. Nor can I ban specific commenters. Even so, I choose not to ban anyone from the blog or forum for it does not reflect the freedoms we enjoy in our democracy, which I want emulated on the blog and in the forum. All are welcome and I mean it. As well, I was banned from the CfK Yahoo! forum and do not want to break off communication with other Catholics and Christians like it is was with me.

This commenter and others like him/her remind one of the shrillness of some, really many, of those opposed to President Bush. It highlights that there is little reason, yet much emotion, behind this opposition. Sure, this commenter is disrespectful, but there is so much banning and removing of commenters/posters and deleting of messages in the Kerry forums I thought the Catholics for Bush blog and forum could be an example that you do not always have to ban and delete.

Cry of the Poor
"How can it be that even today there are still people dying of hunger? Condemned to illiteracy? Lacking the most basic medical care? Without a roof over their heads? . . .

"Christians must learn to make their act of faith in Christ by discerning His voice in the cry for help that rises from this world of poverty."
-- Pope John Paul II
Novo Millennio Ineunte, no. 50
